For large orders, we will contact you with an estimated delivery date.
In the unlikely event of non-delivery, we can only replace or refund the order after 15 working days from the due date of delivery in the UK and N Ireland, and 21 working days from the due date of delivery for Europe and the Rest of the World - at only that point can the Post Office officially declare the parcel as lost. If it is discovered that an incorrect address has been supplied, we will not be liable for the failure to deliver and may subsequently reclaim loss.
Once your items have been dispatched, you will receive an email to let you know.
Packaging & Shipping
Here at Polka Dot House we are doing our bit to help the environment. We therefore reuse and recycle packaging which means that your goods may not be contained in a brand new box, but all of our packaging is clean and fit for reuse.
Standard Delivery is charged at £4.95 per UK Mainland delivery address unless otherwise stated with the product description.
All Other Destinations £19.95**

Delivery of some items is by courier and may require a signature. Parcels are usually delivered between Monday and Friday 8am-6pm and the courier will make a maximum of three attempts to deliver. You are responsible for retrieving undelivered parcels; just follow the instructions on the card left for you by the carrier. If the parcel is returned to us we will have to ask you to make payment for additional delivery costs so that we can get it to you safely again. If you think you are going to be unable to sign for the parcel it may be best to send to an alternative delivery address.
We will of course always try our hardest to meet our stated delivery times but we are afraid that we are unable to guarantee them. Occasionally we will need to cancel an order before delivery, if this is the case we will contact you as soon as we have cancelled it and will refund you the full amount of any items cancelled.
The delivery costs stated are a minimum charge, in some very rare cases the postage will be reviewed. We will contact you as soon as possible if this applies.
All duties and taxes will be the responsibility of the recipient. You will not be entitled to cancel your order due to unforeseen duties, taxes or levies. Please contact your local tax office for more information on how much this could be.
We regularly ship to international destinations and depending on your location, delivery can take up to 30 days. A signature may be required upon your receipt of the parcel.

We accept payments via credit or debit card and Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account in order to use the Paypal payment process. A cheque payment option is also available, but please be aware that your order will not be dispatched until your cheque has cleared (usually 5 – 7 working days). You can also place your order via the website, and then pay over the phone. To do this, please choose the cheque payment option, and then simply call us with your card details and we will process your payment.
Polka Dot House reserves the right to change any advertised prices at any time.
Sale and Discounts Conditions
Orders placed during our sales cannot be back or forward dated.
Cancellation and Returns
You have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receiving the goods under the distance selling regulations.
However, returning the goods to us in the condition they were dispatched in is your responsibility and we would either refund or exchange them. Returns policy items can only be exchanged or refunded, in their original condition, within 7 days from delivery.
Please repack the items in the original packaging. Please note, post and packaging costs are non-refundable and at your expense.
In the event of the item being faulty, we will cover all costs for postage and either refund or exchange the goods. Please allow 7 days for your return or exchange to be processed.
